Outer Space Treaty. Int’l law. The short title of the United Nations Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, Including the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies, 18 U.S.T. pt. 3, at 2410 (Jan. 27, 1967). ? This treaty stipulates that, because space exploration is in the interest of all humanity, no nation may claim territory, establish military bases, or station weapons on any other planet or a moon.
